Happy 2008

Wah… 2008 already!

Personally I love 2008. It is because I like the number 2008, because 008 in Mandarin sounds like ‘ling ling fa’ which means ‘very likely to be auspiciously prosperous’. The ‘2′? well it only means that it will be ‘twice’ as ‘very likely to be auspiciously prosperous’. I love 2008.

As we embark on a New Year, we usually make New Year’s resolutions. Last year my resolution was to win more at mahjong and to change my hairstyle at least 8 times. Well I must say I did not succeed at both. I won 40% of my games and only managed to schedule in 6 hairstyle changes. It is ok, I just signed a packaged deal with the salon for the year and that should give me enough reason to visit the salon more often. I do hope my Tai Tai friends do not change salon again, wait no one gossip with me.

This year, I have a couple of new resolution, which is to make my website www.fashiontaitai.com a success. By success I do not mean economic success. I mean to liberate others from bad fashion. Yes, I am the Fashion ‘Freedom Fighter’ Tai Tai. I shall provide access to good fashion! Also I am looking to lose weight. *Giggle* cannot say how heavy I am, women’s weight is a secret. However I gained some, although very minimal, during the christmas socialising period, and I am looking forward to losing those. To the gym next!

What resolutions did you make? Post them on the comments so we can encourage each other.

Anyway, I would like to wish all a prosperous Happy New Year. To good health and good wealth!

The Fashion Tai Tai’s First Chit Chat Session.

Hi,This is my first post on my very own online boutique! I am so excited. I hope I would be able to do well here. Of course it goes without saying that your support would be greatly appreciated.

I have taken a lot of time out of playing mahjong and managing my wardrobe to bring this site out to you. Sometimes I wonder if it is worth it, but my hubby says at least it can supplement my spending habits.

I have thought of setting up this online boutique for a long time now. Many of my friends frequently come to me for fashion advice. I would consider myself quite savvy in this aspect and would like to give you a piece of advice here and there too.

“But Fashion Tai Tai, why set up a shop online? No foot traffic, no window shoppers, no changing room… so risky…” Well, No business is without it’s risks. That being said this boutique is setup to bring to you haute coutureish clothes at a fraction of its price. As to no foot traffic, well, surfers move faster than foot traffic and exposure would be higher. as for no changing room, The Fashion Tai Tai’s Special Assurance takes care of that.

Well I guess that would be it for my very first chitty chat. See you girls soon.

Mahjong anyone?
